THE EQUIPMENT OF THE TECHNOLOGICAL LABORATORY
1 Fast co-rotating/interpenetrating twin-screw extruder
1 Single screw extruder
2 Injection presses
2 Compression presses
1 Turbo mixer
1 Open mixer with heated rollers
Based on the experience gained in production companies and through the systems with which the technological laboratory is equipped, we are able to provide technical answers relating to the performance of new formulations, starting directly from the production of the thermoplastic composite.
A fast co-rotating/interpenetrating twin-screw extruder, with modular profile screws, also with feeding on the molten polymer and with gravimetric dosing for materials with different bulk density, allows the production of new formulations (compounds) with technological and process characteristics similar to those of the production plants.
A single-screw extruder allows rheological evaluation at low flow gradients.
Based on specific requests, it is possible to “design” and create innovative thermoplastic composites (filled, reinforced, hybrid, self-extinguishing, colored and polymeric “blends”), then evaluating their performance and correspondence with what is expected and requested by the client.
“Compounds” are produced for “reactive processing”, also with the use of “off-grade” and regeneration polymers.
The presence of 2 injection presses of 35 and 60 tons, equipped with molds for the production of normalized specimens (ASTM-DIN-ISO) make the answer complete for a demanding Customer.
The plant equipment of the Technological Laboratory also includes 2 compression presses for obtaining specimens from flat surface products, a turbo mixer for the preparation of dry-blend and an open mixer with heated laboratory rollers for the obtaining low-melting polymer compounds added with high percentages of plasticizers, pigments, fillers, etc.
“POLYMERS & COMPOSITES”
The educational contribution that cannot be missing in the daily practice of professionals who in various capacities operate in the plastics sector.
The work tells about the world of polymers, the way of producing them and qualifying them, with the ambition of encouraging the development of applications according to the expected performance expectations.
You can learn how to intervene on polymer matrices to adapt them to transformation technologies, with the aim of obtaining qualitatively and commercially competitive products, imposing adequate attention to the effects on the environment in the formulation interventions, while trying at the same time to transfer knowledge and affection for polymeric materials.
